Flying Solo is an innovative fashion brand and an organization of fashion designers that is revolutionizing the fashion industry by putting designers in control of retail, co-working spaces, NYFW & PFW runway shows, PR and more.
Over the past 2.5 years, Flying Solo has grown from a small shop in NoLita into a fashion powerhouse with two luxury manhattan locations.
434 West Broadway 6500 sq ft. is the Flagship store of Flying Solo, located in the heart of SoHo, where Flying Solo designers sell their collections directly to the customer.
The location previously housed notable brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Cavalli, and is one of a few select historical buildings in SoHo where New York fashion saw its emergence and growth.
The Copper Room
All Flying Solo designers have access to The Copper Room, 5000 sq ft., at 76 Wooster St. The Copper Room is Flying Solo's more private location for press, VIP and celebrity appointments, stylist pulls. In addition the large lower level serves as a co-working space for Flying Solo designers to fully utilize.
The building is a NYC landmark having been occupied by Andy Warhol and Michel Basquiat as an artist studio in the 1980s, and by Yoko Ono for her John Lennon exhibition back in 2011. The immediate neighbors for 76 Wooster st are Gucci, Moschino, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior.
NYFW + PFW
Each season, Flying Solo showcases all of it’s designers to the industry during NYFW and PFW in runway shows.
Covered by every major fashion publication, such as Vogue, WWD, The New York Times, Fashion Week Online, Harper's Bazaar, Nylon, Marie Claire and others.
With more than 80 designers, Flying Solo has become the most eclectic showcase of independent fashion design in the world. FS's NYFW shows, held biannually, is the largest shows of independent fashion on the NYFW and PFW calendar, boasting more than 360 looks and 80 models on the runway. Combined online & offline the show reaches an audience of 70M+
